Target Ramping Up Digital Grocery Strategy

← Back

E-grocery is on a high rise in the whole world and especially in US.
The revolution has begun. For real.

All retailers are researching all the options to make it more convenient for customers and streamlined for the business.

Let’s take a look at Target in progressivegrocer.com:
„Target said its digital sales growth accelerated from 33% in February to about 100% in March to 282% in April”
„Given that the last mile is the biggest cost driver within digital, the opportunity to control those costs will play an important role in operating margins over time” – says COO John Mulligan.

At Retail Robotics we do believe – our solution Arctan will transform the last mile and solve most of the current constraints.

And, according to grocerydive.com – 38% of online grocery shoppers expect to maintain or increase online shopping for groceries after the pandemic subsides.

At the moment, according to Escalent survey, Walmart is the top choice of US online grocery customers during March and April (47% – almost double compared to 19% at Amazon).

The revolution has begun. For real 🙂
